CallerHi, um... yeah, I was hoping to book a physio appointment. I’ve done something to my lower back, I think. It’s not, like... unbearable, but it’s been a few days now and... yeah, I probably shouldn’t keep pretending it’ll magically disappear.
MayaSorry to hear that. Are you a new patient with us, or have you been in before?
CallerNo, new patient. I found you on Google, actually. I wasn’t really sure whether I should book physio or see a GP first, so... yeah, I thought I’d just call.
MayaFor a private physiotherapy appointment, you can book directly. An initial assessment would be the right starting point, especially if you’re not sure whether it’s coming from your back, hip, or something else.
CallerOkay, yeah, that makes sense. It sort of started after the gym, which is annoying because I was trying to be healthy for once. Then I sat at my desk all day and it got worse, so... not my smartest week.
MayaIt happens. For an initial physio assessment, we have tomorrow at eleven forty, or tomorrow at six ten in the evening. Which would work better?
CallerSix ten would be much better. Yeah, that’s actually perfect. I finish work around five thirty, so I can get there without doing that awkward half-day-off thing.
MayaGreat. I’ll book you for tomorrow at six ten. Can I take your full name?
CallerYeah, it’s Oliver Bennett.
MayaThanks, Oliver. And is the number you’re calling from the best one for the clinic to use?
CallerYeah, this number’s fine.
MayaPerfect. Can I also take your email for the appointment confirmation?
CallerYeah, sure. It’s oliver dot bennett at example dot com.
MayaThank you. You’re booked for tomorrow at six ten for an initial physiotherapy assessment. I’ll note that you’re a new patient with lower back pain after the gym, and that it’s been bothering you for a few days.
CallerGreat. Um... do I need to bring anything, or just turn up?
MayaJust wear comfortable clothing if you can, and arrive about five minutes early for the new patient form.
