MayaHi Gareth, it's Maya calling from Westvale Plumbing. I'm just confirming the engineer visit tomorrow morning between eight and ten for the radiator repair. Does that still work?
CallerYeah, it does. Although, erm... slightly annoyingly, it's got a bit worse since I booked it.
MayaOkay, thanks for telling me. What's changed?
CallerWell, it was just the radiator making noise and losing pressure before. But now there's a small damp patch on the ceiling below it, so... not ideal. My wife has described it as "very not ideal," actually.
MayaI understand. I'll update the job as a possible active leak, not just a radiator repair. Is water currently dripping, or is it just a damp patch?
CallerJust a damp patch at the moment. No dripping. I've put a bowl underneath anyway because I'm apparently an optimist.
MayaGood thinking. If you can, please avoid using that radiator until the engineer has checked it. Do you know where the stop tap is, just in case it gets worse?
CallerYeah, under the kitchen sink. I can get to it.
MayaPerfect. I'll add that. Will someone be home between eight and ten?
CallerI'll be here until about nine thirty, then my neighbour can let them in. She's got a spare key.
MayaGreat. What's your neighbour's name?
CallerIt's Mrs Patel, next door at number sixteen.
MayaThanks. I'll note: Gareth is home until nine thirty, then Mrs Patel at number sixteen can provide access. Any parking issues for the engineer?
CallerThere's usually space on the drive. If not, they can block me in, I'm not going anywhere with the ceiling doing modern art.
MayaUnderstood. I've confirmed tomorrow between eight and ten, updated the job to possible active leak near the radiator, noted the damp patch below, stop tap under the kitchen sink, and neighbour access if needed.
