Studies

Three studies.

Self-initiated, and each one built the way we’d build yours: to a brief, a budget and our release gate.

  1. A concept home page for an architecture practice: "Concrete and Light" set very large in off-white on a near-black ground, with a warm shaft of daylight across it.

    Concrete and Light

Scrolling a project is the time of day: the light crosses the building while you read it.

  2. A close typographic crop: the figure "42" set so large it runs off the frame, its lower edge sinking below a glowing tide line into teal water.

    Slack Water

Electric workboats, sold on quiet: every page has a tide, and the type sinks below it.

  3. One piece to a screen: the Arc chair drawn large on paper, a sage arched back on a black rounded seat, and beside it its name, a line of copy and a ruled list of seat height, width, frame, cover and, last, the price.

    Soft Geometry

A catalog that behaves like a showroom: one piece on screen at a time, with room around it.
